about skye

Skye is a self-taught artist born and raised in London, whose creative process serves as a personal journal. Instead of using words, she channels emotions and experiences into illustrations and paintings, exploring the multifaceted relationship of the human psyche - conscious and subconscious - with the natural environment. Preferring the language of colour, texture, and composition, she creates work that captures the subtle nuances of our interactions with nature, be it our attention to light reflecting off leaves transforming hues of greens, or the way seasons influence our mood and well-being. Her work is influenced by impressionist and impasto techniques, natural landscapes, and aims to express what language cannot, inviting viewers to reflect on their engagement with the natural world around them.

Her recent collection of oil paintings entitled, Where the Blues and Greens Are, is inspired by her time spent in Jamaica.

Skye aims to use art as a means to get to know herself and the people around her better, and to practice the art of noticing the little things in life that make it special.
